Smash Mode
Smash Mode is basically how a normal game of Super Smash Bros would play out. You have two characters on the stage, and the objective of the battle is to knock your opponent off. The more a character is attacked, the higher their Damage Percentage goes. And the higher the Percentage gets, the lighter that character will be and the easier it'll be for that character to be sent flying off the stage. However, another way to lose is for a character to fall off the stage, such as through a pitfall or moving too far to the left or right off-screen. If the time for a battle runs out before a winner is determined, a Sudden Death is enacted in which both characters have 300% of Damage accumulated.

Fight Mode
Fight Mode is similar to how other fighting games work; Your two characters must damage each other until one character runs out of health. How much health they have is shown by the Damage Percentage. Each character starts out with 100%, and keep fighting until one reaches 0%. Unlike Smash Mode, there is no victory through ring out. While it is possible for a character to fall off-stage, they will be returned instantly and lose 5% of their health. This means that the weight of the character will remain constant. If the tme runs out before a winner is determined, whoever has the most health will be declared the victory. If both characters have equal Percentage, a Sudden Death is enacted in which both characters have 1% of health.

Adventure Mode
In the Adventure Mode, you control the characters and take them on a mind-blowing journey, fighting evil and saving the world! Here, you're character has a certain amount of health, and can lose if they fall down a pitfall. Outside of battle the controls work similar to a platformer.

Final Smash
Whenever a character gives or takes damage, this causes a meter called the Smash Gauge to go up. Once the Smash Gauge reaches maximum, that character will be able to use their Final Smash, an attack or ability unique to themselves. Once the Final Smash ends, the Smash Gauge will go down to zero, and will need to be filled up before using another Final Smash.

Items
Certain Items will appear on the stage at any given time during a match. These items either undo damage or summon a random support character to help with the battle.

Health Tablet: Undos 30% damage (From Resident Evil series)
Donut: Undos 2% damage. Sometimes comes in groups.

Characters who summon Yoshi can't use their attacks, but Yoshi can hover in the air, ground-pound, and eat and turn his opponent into an egg, paralyzing them momentarily. Make summoner invulnerable. Vanishes after 7 seconds. (Super Mario Bros. series)

Felicia: Felicia will latch onto the opponents face and scratch and claw at them furiously until she vanishes after 5 seconds.(Darkstalkers series)

Jigglypuff: Jigglpuff sings a song that puts the opponent to sleep then vanishes. (Pokemon series)
